Email templates shouldn’t live on just one board when they can be useful in many different boards. SuperMail makes it easy to copy and import templates from other boards, giving you faster setup and consistent messaging across your monday.com workflows.

Follow the steps below to copy a template between boards in minutes.

Step 1: Navigate to Your Destination Board

Before you can import a template, navigate to the board where you want to add the template (the “destination board”), and confirm that the SuperMail view is added.

  1. Open the destination board.
  2. Click Add View.
  3. Select Apps.
  4. Add SuperMail.

Once installed, open the SuperMail view on the board.

Step 2: Choose a template from another board

  • Click Import template
  • Select the board that contains the template you want to reuse
  • Choose the specific template from that board that you want to import

Step 3: Map columns as needed

When the destination board includes multiple columns of the same type, SuperMail will ask you to map the columns manually. For example, if your template uses a First Name text column and the destination board has several text columns, you’ll be prompted to select the correct one. The same applies to status columns. If your email references a status column and the destination board contains multiple status columns, you’ll be asked to choose the right one.

Map columns for email import
  • Note: If the destination board doesn’t have a matching column, you can create one during import. Simply select Add as a new column in the import pane and map the template to it.

This mapping ensures that personalization and dynamic fields work correctly after the import.Once mapping is complete, click Import.

  • Pro-tip: To ensure custom fields, status buttons, and other dynamic features work correctly, columns must be mapped precisely. Skipping this step can result in an email that looks right but doesn’t function as intended.

Step 5: Start using your imported template

The template will now appear inside SuperMail on your current board, ready to use.

You can:

  • Edit it if needed
  • Send it immediately
  • Use it in automations or workflows
  • Pro-tip: Make sure to test the email and click on all links to make sure they work properly.
