SuperForm lets you build powerful, flexible forms directly within monday.com, with functionality that far surpasses the innate limitations of monday.com’s native WorkForms. From updating existing items to implementing advanced form logic, conditional paths, and writing to columns WorkForms simply can’t touch, Superform gives you total control over how your forms look, behave, and connect with your boards.
This guide walks you through everything you need to get started and make the most of SuperForm, from building beautiful, branded forms to setting up logic, connecting boards, and embedding your form anywhere you need it.
Install SuperForm on your Board
- Add the SuperForm view on your monday.com board by going to Board views → Explore more views.
- Search for the SuperForm view

- Note: The SuperForm will automatically display all of the columns on your board as options to include in your form. Once you add more columns to your board, these will appear at the bottom of the form in a hidden position.
How to Build Your SuperForm – Some Basics
We recommend that you start the form building process by adding all the relevant columns to your board. Note:
- SuperForm will automatically create a field for every column on your board.
- SuperForm supports many types of columns including connect board column, mirror column, formula columns, and more.
Once you have mapped out all the columns in your board, open the SuperForm board view. Then, you can start formatting your form immediately:
- re-order the questions with a simple drag and drop
- hide or show columns by clicking the eye icon.
- set questions as required
- Note: You can use the multi select checkbox to make changes across all form fields.

Set Layout and Design Configurations
- Go to the layout tab in the right navigation and choose the form layout and question alignment (right, center, left alignment).
- Go to the design tab and choose the background color or image, the buttons colour and text and add a logo image to the top of the form.

- In the main section of the SuperForm editor, add widgets to enhance the look and flow of your form. Hover over the section under which you’d like to add the widget. Insert a text block, video, iFrame, image, or divider.

Insert vs. Update
- To use SuperForm to update existing items, click the update button at the top right of the form builder.

Design Your Workflow Structure
- When editing the update type of form, use the checkboxes to define whether form users can update a field or not.

- If updates are not allowed, the field will be greyed out in the form. It looks like this:

How to Share Your SuperForm
- Create a general link that you can share with your audience by clicking the “share button”

- Create unique links per item
- Add a link column to your board. We recommend naming it “SuperForm” so that all board users know what the column is for.
- Go to the Automation center and search for SuperForm.
- Choose the recipe that suits your needs.

- Pro tip: For a board with existing items we recommend using a status or button trigger. Configure the trigger recipe then select all items on the board and trigger the creation of the link.
Once you have links to each item you can send them to your end users (we recommend using SuperMail 🙂)
Conditional Logic (If This, Then Show That)
- With SuperForm, you can configure conditional logic for each column

- The condition is imposed on specific questions. Only if the condition is set then this question will show in the form.
- Keep in mind that the conditioned column must appear in the form for this feature to work correctly.
- SuperForm can condition status columns, dropdown columns and checkbox columns
Subitems
SuperForm supports subitems. Once you have subitems on your board, they will automatically appear in your SuperForm.

- Click the settings (wheel) icon. A “sub form” will appear where you can access all the same settings you have in the main form (drag and drop, required, hidden and conditional questions).
- You can also change the button text.
- Choose whether the subitems will show as a list or a table. Keep in mind that conditional questions do not work in table mode.
- Note: If you hide the ‘subitem name’ column the text that will appear on every subitem submission will be “Incoming form answer”. You can also choose a different column answer to overwrite this.

Subitems in Update Mode
- Allow edit: In update mode, you can choose whether or not to allow the creation of new subitems, the editing of existing subitems, or the deleting of existing subitems.

- Filtering subitems: In update mode you can filter subitems by status, dropdown and checkbox columns.
