Getting Started with SuperMail Triggers

SuperMails can be sent automatically in one of two ways, depending on your account type and workflow needs. SuperMail offers pre-configured automation recipes right inside monday.com’s Automation Center, letting you trigger email sends based on board actions like status changes, date arrivals, or new item creation. SuperMail also integrates directly with monday.com’s Workflow Center, enabling more complex, multi-step email sequences with advanced logic, conditions, and email flows. Both options put your email outreach on autopilot with no manual sending required.
Send SuperMail Via Automation Recipes
- Begin by configuring your email template. (For full setup instructions, click here)
- Set up an Email Column on your board to serve as the source for recipient email addresses. This column will be used by SuperMail to determine where each message should be sent

- You can send SuperMail to anyone listed in Email, People, or Text columns, as well as Mirror columns that reflect those fields from other boards.
- Include additional recipients in CC or BCC as needed

- Go to the Automations Center and search for SuperMail
- Select an automation recipe from the list of preconfigured templates

- Configure the automation recipe by inserting the relevant information from your board (such as the email name, date to send, the column from which the SuperMail will be sent, and the email address to which the email will be sent)
- Repeat as needed
Send SuperMail Sequences via the Workflow Center
monday.com enterprise users can configure more complex email sequences by setting email triggers in the Workflow Center — perfect for onboarding flows, multi-step nurture campaigns, renewal reminders, post-purchase follow-ups, or any process that requires timed, conditional outreach. To get started:
- Navigate to the Workflow Center and click +Add Workflow

- Name your workflow
- Determine whether the workflow will be part of the Main workspace (visible to everyone in the workspace) or Private (visible only to you)
- Click Create

Set Up Your Workflow
- Add a trigger to start the sequence. Options include:
- When item is created
- When status changes to X
- When date arrives
- Select the relevant board from which to pull the trigger

Add the First SuperMail Action
- Click “+” under the trigger
- Click “What happens next” in the workflow builder to add the next step, then choose the appropriate action (e.g., send a SuperMail, add a delay, set a status etc.).
- Configure the following:
- Board: Choose the board from which your SuperMail will be sent.
- Template: Choose the first email in your sequence (e.g., “Welcome Email”).
- Recipient column(s): Choose the intended recipients from your board, including CC and BCC
Insert a Delay
- Click “+ Add Step” below the SuperMail action
- Choose “Delay” and specify how long to wait before sending the next email in the sequence

Add the Second SuperMail Action
- Add another SuperMail to be sent after the scheduled delay
- Repeat configurations of the board, template, and recipient columns
- Alternate “Delay” steps and SuperMail actions to build your sequence (e.g., Welcome → Wait 2 Days → Email 2 → Wait 4 Days → Email 3)
- Repeat as needed
(Optional) Add Conditions or Branches
- Click “+ Add Condition” to insert logic like:
- If status is “Interested”, send Email A; otherwise, send Email B
- If recipient unsubscribed, stop sending the sequence
- If status is “Interested”, send Email A; otherwise, send Email B
- Add different email actions per path.
- Click “Activate Workflow” to launch your SuperMail sequence
